Biography
January Elh is a U.S. American Alternative Pop singer-songwriter. His sound is somewhat unconventional, lightly peppered with various influences. His vocal is youthful, yet of an unpolished, high-baritone nature.
In early 2011, he released a free 6-track Wasted Daylight EP. Later the same year, in collaboration with producer Octopus Jones & photographer Clyde Grant, he released a 4-track side-project entitled L8. Both EPs were made available exclusively online via his blog, Soundcloud, & Facebook pages.
In 2012, he embarked on what was to be a one-year performance art project (entitled 'Period of Natural Color') in which twelve 2-song EPs were to be released, but after falling too far behind, he cancelled the project at the beginning of 2014. Only three of the EPs were released: COAL, ROSE, and MINT. Written statements about this project can be found at his official website, januaryelh.com.
