1. Jay Jon Christopher Smith (born in Helsingborg, Sweden on April 29, 1981) is a Swedish singer and guitarist with English ancestry. He won the Swedish Idol 2010 title, beating Minnah Karlsson in the December 10, 2010 final in the Ericsson Globe Theater.
He also plays in the rock band Von Benzo, who released an album in 2009.
Smith's first solo single was Dreaming People. He released his debut album, the self-titled Jay Smith (featuring the best songs from his time in Idol) on 19 December 2010. The album shot straight to #1 in its first week of release in the Swedish Albums Chart.
Smith also appears on the two compilation album from Idol 2010, singing the song "All I Need Is You".

A great guitar player who transitioned into a singer/songwriter and showed off his talent with new releases. The songs were very laid back and easy to listen too, while grasping your attention and taking you along for the ride..the raw vocals blend well with the Gordie Sampson Esq flow.
