This bluesy, horns-soaked number comes from the original Experience's final 1969 studio session at Record Plant Studios, New York City on April 14, 1969.
An early version of "Night Bird Flying," lyrically the song is about forgetting one's troubles through lovemaking.
The track's uniquely juicy tone was achieved by putting the guitar feed through a Leslie keyboard speaker. Hendrix engineer and producer Eddie Kramer explained to Toronto's The Globe and Mail: "It's a trick I used to do with Traffic and a bunch of other bands. Jimi was never afraid of experimenting."
