One of the greatest country albums of all time. Perfect blend of country and folk rock, the atmosphere and the interaction with the crowd is just amazing.

Listen to more Country albums. There are tons of amazing ones out there, some of which are better than this. Townes Van Zandt's Live at the Old Quarter, Houston, Texas, for example.

Only Country album I truly love. There's nothing quite like listening to a man sing to a bunch of prison inmates about shooting his wife and getting hung.

It first appeared on "The Johnny Cash Show" LP in 1970 and on a ton of greatest hits compilations since then. Also there's a good live version on the "Johnny Cash På Österåker" album.

Prefer this one to San Quentin. Folsom doesn't have as many hits but the atmosphere is more palpable and the connection between performer and audience more authentic.

Magnificent album, Folsom Prison Blues and Jackson keep surprising me, in a way like 'damn, seems I like country' ^^
