BIOGRAPHY/DETAILS:
"Make a dream tomorrow's reality" sings Boston-based singer-songwriter Jon Robert, offering a glimpse into his independent soul. "I think that I write for the day, and make every detail a page in my life." In 1999, JR established his first band Even-Tide. They toured for a year playing the college circuit opening for such acts as Eddie Money and the Fools. At the end of 2000, JR relocated to San Diego California. Performing under the name Jon Robert as a solo acoustic pop act, he began to play the beach scene, coffee houses, clubs, and bars for just under three years.
JR's 2003 EP release Listen Loud brought great attention to Boston's local music scene, leading to gigs opening for Howie Day and Matt Nathanson. JR's roots range from Jackson Brown to Matchbox 20. "I like to think of myself as conceptual storyteller, in whatever form the story dictates, not branded as this or that."
2007 was a landmark year for Jon Robert. His EP "Racing the Sun" was a tremendous success licensing the whole record to MTV and was featured on both The Real World and The Gauntlet III. He is also scheduled to be aired on The Hills and Newport Harbor in the second quarter of this year. In July, JR was contacted by teen pop sensation JoJo to open for her on two dates that summer where he played to over 3000 fans. This lead to dates opening for Aly & AJ, Earth Wind & Fire, Corbin Bleu, and American Idols' Taylor Hicks at Jones Beach Ampitheatre with just over 15,000 in attendance.
In January 2008, JR signed a recording contract with Texas based record label and artist development agency Red Cup Records. Les Francoeur, A&R of Red Cup Records discovered JR after tracking his success on numerous social networking sites including the very popular myspace. JR's estimated downloads were approaching 10,000 while receiving consistent praises from fans and industry professionals alike.
JR's new acoustic-rock sound leaves audience listeners with nothing less than a wow after his performances. "I love to give it my all at every show, to me that's what it's all about, making it personal for everyone that was kind enough to show up. At the end of the day, it's all about having fun and making music."

Red Cup Records is pleased to announce that interest in Jon Robert has been officially established by top industry producer Will Hunt and will be recording his debut record at Spaceway Studios in Dallas, TX. In addition, Grammy award winning mixing and mastering engineers Jeff Juliano and Vlado Meller have also signed on as part of this proven, highly in-demand production team. Juliano is responsible for constructing the overall sound of numerous mutil-platinum selling albums including John Mayer's Room For Squares (4x Platinum), Dave Matthews Band, Jason Mraz, Lifehouse, and OAR just to name a few. Vlado Meller has mastered countless Grammy award winning albums including this years 1 top-selling album Josh Grobans' Noel.
