This is truly the beginning of her creative prowess at its brightest and greatest. She'd continuously build upon what she made here for the rest of the 70s. Everything from her piano ballads to her jazz explorations to more vulnerable and biting lyricism. Less idealism and more realistic, honest lyrics about life and love. A true gem of an album and a very important bridge between her folkier first two albums and Blue.

loved this one from the beginning of me getting into Joni, and it's still one of my favorites.
