Samba Esquema Novo is the debut studio album by Brazilian musician Jorge Ben, released on January 10, 1963, via Philips Records. It features the Brazilian samba jazz group Meirelles e os Copa 5 as a support band.
Samba Esquema Novo is on the list of the 100 best albums of Brazilian music in 15th position. At the time of its release, critics from the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo believed that the album would quickly disappear from stores, just like the 78 rotations previously released by him.
