Spellbound is beautiful ...voice of an 82 year old angel.... i think this is something i wouldn't have appreciated as a rebellious teen; however some 40 years later, this is so wonderful. Judy you have a songbird voice. I love this.

Sanity and Grace....A profoundly enlightening and moving journey of the soul. My daughter, Ellie, died of an illness in 1976. She was two years old and I still think about her most of the time. My job as a wildlife ranger and SAR dog handler would be a predominantly isolating and lonely one for most people, but I always have my dog, Tess, for company from dawn 'til dusk. Plus, I know that Ellie is out there with me as I walk the endless miles across the fields, hills and moors or through the forests and along the river banks and coastlines of the UK's South-Western counties....and sometimes I catch myself talking to her too.

Just my opinion, but Judy and Joan are each unbelieveable. Both great to listen to, and both wonderful human beings as well.

Why this Judy vs. Joan discussion? It doesn't do justice to any of them. They are so different from each other. Joan Baez pretty much remained a folksinger throughout her career while Judy Collins went on to many other musical genres, not always with results that would have pleased the folk audience. I particularly love her early, dark folk albums. She was always totally unique and gorgeous.

Judy Collins group, come join it. At least check it out at http://www.last.fm/group/Judy Collins this keeps showing up as a link to a Judy group: just add Collins as I have been trying to do repeatedly to no avail. Also: Joan Baez wannabe? Sure it isn't the other way? Judy started much earlier and has stuck to folk far more than Joan with all her forays into rock, & trademark political songs.
