Biography
Durval de Lima Junior (Campinas, April 11, 1984), better known as Junior Lima or simply Junior, is a Brazilian singer, music producer, musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist, presenter, former actor and dancer. Junior became nationally and internationally known for the duo Sandy & Junior between 1990 and 2007, alongside his sister Sandy, who became the best-selling pop music act in the world history of Brazil and record holder for tour revenue.
Between 2008 and 2009 he was the drummer for the band Nove Mil Anjos. Between 2009 and 2014 he was in the electronic music project Dexterz. Between 2016 and 2019 he was in the electronic duo Manimal with Júlio Torres. He was also part of the eclectic band Soul Funk.
From 2017 to 2019, he presented the Pipocando Música channel, on YouTube, alongside Bruno Bock. The artist has been married since October 2014 to model and designer Mônica Benini, with whom he has two children. In 2019 there was the reunion tour "Nossa História" alongside her sister Sandy, which was an absolute success with the public and critics.
Junior is preparing his first solo album, which generates great expectations among fans who have always clamored for this project, scheduled for the end of 2023. "Solo" Vol. 1 is now available and was released on October 29, 2023 on streaming platforms .
