The new album is a step up for me, but it is quite formulaic, I will agree. And relying a bit too much on revisiting old Priest tracks such as The Sentinel and One Shot at Glory. A nice little gimmick, but something new should definitely come along for the 3rd album.

Yeah if there's a 3rd album they need to spice it up and get a little more personal otherwise they might as well just do some re-records of classic Priest tracks.

SERMONS OF THE SINNER much better album than Firepower IN MY OPINION. Good songs, and Ripper always sounds great!

I like them and at first I didn't, but probably won't listen to them much I'm not into the vocals. Owens sounds like a 2nd rate Rob Halford. Maybe, I'll get used to his vox if I do listen to them more.

It's about what I expected. I think JP has slightly better songs (on Firepower), as well as superior production and ofc Rob's iconic voice, but KK has definitely got the riffs and classic Priest sound. Firepower was great and all but didn't fully sound like JP (for obvious reasons). This really makes you realize how JP and KK need each other.

I'm so glad this doesn't suck. It's growing on me with every listen!! Much more inspired than Firepower.

I wonder if Tim Owens would have any hater if Sermons of the Sinner (the song) was on his Priest's era. His voice doesn't age.
