KMT (also known as KMTlondon) is a producer/remixer from London, currently living in San Francisco. His remixes cross genres "in an attempt to get people into new types of music". Although he hasn't released a full album yet, he has produced several songs for London artists including Sikanotions, Octive, Zara.

2. A South-African Group (1997 - present)
KMT is an acronym which stands for Kinetic Music Trendsetters. It is a Kwaito act whose music reflects the daily realities of the people at grassroots level. Originally composed of the late Khanyiso Nombexeza a.k.a Kaizer & Thando Rala-Rala a.k.a Tyla and is now represented by the latter.
Vision:
KMT strives to steer Eastern Cape Kwaito music scene to a higher level by producing original digital and live music. To promote and pass positive messages as well as raise an awareness of the challenges faced by the youth in post-apartheid S.A.
Brief History:
Started in 1997 with five members known as Amataliyane. In 2000 joined the Section-House Productions under Tobela Fibi and the late Nyameko Payi. KMT is now a co-owner of the Section-House Productions.
Performance:
KMT has performed at Club Aristocats, Beach Burger (East London),
Miss Vista Pageant, Miss E.C Tertiary Schools, Triple Aces Night Club, Lizard Lounge Night Club, Grand Hotel, Eyethu Sport Club.
They have shared the stage with, Andile, DJ Sammy T (Metro FM), Mzekezeke (Castle Loud Tour 2002) and Arthur All-stars.
As a Kwaito outfit that continues to attract a lot of attention locally, KMT has been interviewed by DJ Mozent (Umhlobo Wenene FM), DJ Luvs (Bay FM),Mike G (Bay FM), Slyso (UWFM) and T-man of KQFM.
They have performed at a Pageant in P.E Technikon and had an outstanding performance as the only trusted opening act for DJ Glen Lewis (MetroFM) at club De Mauro’s in Summerstrand.
During 2004 SA Music Week they contributed through a number of performances in P.E to support local music.
Early last year, they were invited as a supporting act for Camagu in Johannesburg who is well known for his seductive afro pop music.
They also performed alongside Ntsiki Mazwai in Melville at the Paradigm Club and in Norwood at the 88 Lounge. In 2006, they were instrumental in organizing the ‘Annual Get Up, Stand Up Youth Festival’ which was sponsored by NMMM Arts & Culture in PE.
Late last year saw the release of their debut album titled ‘As’ zungonwabi’ which secured their position to curtain raise for Ntando at the Vodacom ICE PARTY held at Wells Estates.
In the process of organizing the second ‘Annual Get Up, Stand Up Youth Festival’, KMT lost one of its members ‘Kaizer’ in a car accident early this year.
Kaizer was the other half that made up KMT with Tyla, nevertheless Tyla continues to aim high and carry the flag of KMT.
Presently, Tyla is busy in the studio recording material for the next album.
Influence:
KMT music is influenced by the rich cultural diversity that the Eastern Cape possesses. It also borrows a lot from the 80's bubble gum funky bassline over house and indigenous drum beats. As a ghetto poet and artist, his style of lyrical delivery is largely influenced by Hip-Hop.
