It was released as a second single on April 22, 2022, by Universal Music Latin Entertainment. It was written by Giraldo, Daniel Echavarria, Kevin Cruz, and produced by Echavarria (credited as Ovy on the Drums).
"Provenza" is written in the key of D♭ major, with a moderately fast tempo of 111 beats per minute.
The video of "Provenza" was released on April 21, 2022, on Karol G's YouTube channel. It was directed by Pedro Artola. Karol G got into the fresh air as she traveled by yellow car under the sculptures of the clouds on the sand mountain and throughout the United States.
