“Heart of a Lion” is an inspirational anthem produced by Free School, and is the fifth track on "Man on the Moon: The End of Day".
"I wanted to immediately get into it, this is why right after “Solo Dolo” you got more energy with “Heart Of A Lion”, where it’s like a battle in my own mind. This is actually produced by FreeSchool which consists of Jean Baptiste and Mike, and, they have also worked with will.i.am and The Black Eyed Peas. It’s a record that felt so triumphant when I heard the beat, and I was just like immediately compelled to make it my theme music. It’s because it sounds so triumphant. You know what I mean? And, the lyrics probably like some of the best raps I ever wrote because the beat is so unorthodox. So like, I wanted to make, when I came up with the hook, I wanted to make the new “Eye of the Tiger”. You know what I mean? So like, this is like the millennium “Eye of the Tiger”, like every athlete, anybody that’s like, you know, into something and needs some inspiration, is gonna listen to this song before they do it, you know what I mean?"
