Born Shawn Ryan October 6, 1969, King Danskie (or Danskie) has been a musical artist for most of his life. From the age of 13, this artist has been either opening up for other bands and or collaborating with other Reggae and Soca artists in his native Antigua. In 2002, Danskie diversified and entered into the local Antigua and Barbuda Soca and Calypso competitions. This move earned him first runner-up for the Soca Monarch then the Soca Monarch title itself in 2003. During 2003 and 2004, King Danskie performed in Trinidad's Soca Monarch competition–a most desirable place to be for all the best Soca Artists.
If King Danskie could be described, it would be "energy unconstrained." A crowd pleaser, Danskie's performances are always very entertaining–he has a remarkable ability to engage the audience.
