"Into the Void" is Ace Frehley's solo on KISS' 1998 reunion album Psycho Circus. Frehley's "Into the Void" was co-written with Karl Cochran and originally titled "Shakin' Sharp Shooter", but Simmons and Stanley were unhappy with the lyrics and title. Frehley then went up to a separate room and rewrote the lyrics to his song in 30 minutes. In a radio interview with Eddie Trunk, the band's former drummer Peter Criss stated that from all the tracks on Psycho Circus, only "Into the Void" featured instrumental contributions from all four members.
A nine-minute long live version of the track was included on the album's Limited Edition Bonus Disc.
