I've enjoyed dating Windows 95 and Windows XP. However, I am thinking of going out on a date with RISC OS. Then there's Macintosh System 7, so incredibly hot, but so difficult to emulate.

Good news! I've now gone out on dates with both RISC OS and Macintosh System 7, and have also gone out with dates with other hotties including Atari ST's Gem and Amiga's Workbench.

My favorite Kraftwerk song. Still, I can't see the point of bashing Coldplay here. "Talk" is a cool song and the "Computer Love" reference is a nice tribute to Kraftwerk.

that skankin rhythm that kicks in somewhere in the middle just makes the world feel totally right... and of course those sweet sweet beautiful melodies interchanging over those different rhythmic layers.

These guys were ahead of their time! It's amazing that they made a song about "computer love" 36 fucking years ago. We're living this "kind" of love nowadays. They're fucking genius!

One of my all time faves. Perfectly captures that bittersweet, yearning technological feeling... those nights where the monitor is the only light source, and you're just staring into space, wondering whether you should go to bed or keep staying up in case you make contact with another cyber being. Humans are really way too obsessed with technology - it's going to fuck us up majorly! Fuck Coldplay, they don't have shit on Kraftwerk and never will. And whoever said there's a "subtle African touch" - no, there isn't, and that statement's basically meaningless anyway since Africa consists of many different countries and cultures, all with their own unique music.

I fucking agree with you! These guys were ahead of their time! They made this song about the technological isolation of the human being with the computer 36 years ago. They are absolutely genius!

And triple post but I want to make myself much clearer. Well yeah. It's too stupid to hate a band who sampled a melody from another for their song. Go hate Madonna for sampling "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" or Pitbull/Aguilera crew for sampling (?) "Take On Me" if you're like that.

Regards "that hating thing is stupid" I mean that because of that reason it's stupid to hate Coldplay.

Oh c'mon... hating someone because they "sampled" a melody with permission is like hating Weird 'Al' Yankovic who used to ask permissions for the parodies (for example "Born This Way" - "Perform This Way"). Call me a weirdo but I like Coldplay, and the hating thing here is stupid.

TV Screen" - Back then many home computers connected to a regular TV set. Hence the lyric.
