Покойся с миром. Этот год отобрал все самое любимое, что было у меня в музыке.

Last year I listened to “A Portrait of Krzysztof Penderecki”, and it contained mostly atonal music not very enjoyable for laypeople. Now I heard his symphonies... wow. Apparently sometime in the middle of his career he decided to switch to a Brucknerian idiom. I need time to evaluate, but I will listen to it more than the atonal stuff.

It's kinda weird, but Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima got me into classical initially despite my lack of interest in horror ambience. Very odd start to an interest.
