Originally written by Joe South for recording artist Billy Joe Royal. in 1997 Kula Shaker recorded a version and was used on the I Know What You Did Last Summer (Soundtrack from the Motion Picture). In 2014 it was also used in the marketing for Kingsman: The Secret Service.

"Hush" by Kula Shaker was used in the Korean romantic comedy, "The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince" in episode 4 (titled "Fourth Cup"), airing on July 10, 2007. The track runs from video point 00:44:27 to 00:47:00. As of January 2011, the episode may be seen online at "Drama Fever" (or at the Drama Fever selections available on Hulu, for those in North America).
The scene is a challenge game of 2-on-1 basketball on a local playground (park) court in Hongdae, Seoul, South Korea. Only the song track is used and it is only for the viewing audience to hear; the 2-on-1 game itself is supposed to take place for an hour's length of time, but all the shots of the game are compressed through editing into the time it takes to play "Hush."

Kula Shaker's cover of "Hush" can also be heard on the season 2 episode of Daria entitled "The Daria Hunter." Their song "Tattva" had previously appeared on season 1's "The Invitation," at the house party thrown by cheerleader Brittany.
