    2010 – present (14 years)

La Bestia de Gevaudan is a band formed in 2010 in Santiago, Chile, initially as a solo project of Diego Yañez Aguilera, who during that year releases the split LBDG/JOV, which gathers songs from his previous band, JohnsonOverdrive, and others from the new project.

In 2012, once the tools of composition and recording were mastered, production starts for the record Traidor, which was composed and recorded by Yañez, with the invaluable collaboration of Eugene S. Robinson (Oxbow) in the song The Mars of Beware.

Once the record was produced and after some failed line-up configurations, drummer Alonso Bustamante came into the project, giving each song his own interpretation, adding new dynamics and phrasings to what from then on will work as duo.

The influences of La Bestia de Gevaudan vary regarding style, but can share a mutual foundation: the transmission of energy through music. This is why it's undeniable to link the band with projects such as Neurosis, Godflesh, This Will Destroy You, Envy or even Explosions in the Sky in its moments of deepest instrumental catharsis.

Right now, the band is promoting the LP and searching for new tools, both auditive and visually, to perform live and create what's yet to come.
