Biography

Leather Leone started her career as a lead vocalist of a Heavy Metal band Chastain, led by guitarist and composer David T. Chastain. With Chastain she recorded five albums: Mystery of Illusion (1985), Ruler of the Wasteland (1986), The 7th of Never (1987), The Voice of the Cult (1988) and For Those Who Dare (1990). In 1989 she released her first (and last) solo album under the name Leather - Shock Waves. David T. Chastain produced the album and also contributed with the songwriting. Line up for this album was: Leather-vocals Michael Harris-guitar David Harbour-bass John Luke He`bert-drums Leather Leone also sang in "all girl" Metal band called Rude Girl, which later became Malibu Barbi. Malibu Barbi released only one single, Rude Girls in 1987. After Chastain`s album For Those Who Dare, released in 1990, Leather Leone disappeared from the scene, but still is hailed by many as one of the most powerful and most influential female vocalists in history of Heavy Metal music.
