Lightrider is an alternative metal that formed in 1999 in Orange County California. Band members Lead Vocals Phil Rudd, Lead Guitars Mickey Knight , Bass Vinnie Stone, Drums Billy Carmen. Phil Rudd Formed the Band At a party in Newport Beach. Neighbors unhappy with the loud music and large crowd called the police .. Mickey Knight upset that the party was soon to be over took a guitar and threw it a a police car from the second story window .Mickey Knight obviously to drunk began to fight with the cops and was beaten and arrested . Phil Rudd Came up with the name Lightrider after seeing his bandmate carried off in a police car with the lights flashing off into the night. The band quickly broke out into the Hollywood club scene the rest is history.
