Serletti243 - over 80% of hip-hop songs aren't grammatically correct. About 30% of all songs aren't grammatically correct.

Honestly, I didn't think I'd find such an interesting discussion on the board for this song.

You don't have to attack me, calling me a schmuck to prove your point. I see where your coming from, and yes I understand it's part of African American vernacular, that much is obvious. However, under normal circumstances the song violates the basic rules of English grammar and speech. And the fact remains that the premise of the songs just to be blunt is quite dumb. I'm not putting anyone down for opting to listen to this song, nor am I trying to attack you TeenageWildLife, I'm simply stating an opinion and pointing out some observations.

to the schmuck who said this is ungrammatical..... take a 100-level linguistics course. "be" is grammatical, and is a part of African American vernacular.

This has to be the absolute worst song that has ever written. I mean have you actually listened to the lyrics? Lil Mama doesn't even make use of proper grammar. My lip gloss be poppin See I should know what that means because of the school that I attend (lol), but honestly it really doesn't make any sense.
