Biography

There must be something in the water in Eastern Poland. Surrounded by an ancient forest and the brooding bison within, it’s no surprise that Liquid Molly has found inspiration to produce music at such a fervent pace over the last 10 years. Following years of experimentation, Adrian Jakuć-Łukaszewicz’s career began in earnest with the birth of Białystok-based folktronica group Zerova and their debut album I Think We’ve Lost released on Herb Recordings in the UK in 2006.

While Liquid Molly continues to contribute his glitchy beats and accordion know-how to Zerova, his solo work follows a more personal journey. Inspired by Icelandic electronica, British club music and the warehouses of Berlin, Liquid Molly’s sound has evolved from IDM-inspired click and cuts, through minimal techno soundscapes, to the bass-centric territory where he now resides. Liquid Molly regularly performs live sets around Poland, often with the Warsaw Electronic Festival, and nearly always with VJ Pan Dudziński.

Fervently pulling apart and examining the very heart of the genre, it’s no wonder that Liquid Molly has already made a name for himself as one of the rising stars of dubstep in Poland.
