Biography

Live How You Live is a Canadian band, a journey and a state of mind. In 2006 Carm Milioto released his first album named “Scenes from Then and Now", although it was a full production, the music was showcased acoustically as a solo performance. At the beginning of the writing process for his second record in 2007, Carm secured a show at the world renowned “Whisky a Go Go” in Hollywood, California. Accompanied by Ryan Boyko on his trip, little did they know the experience and events to follow would be the start of an exciting musical adventure. Carm found himself writing many songs and lyrics during their stay in Venice Beach and came back to Hamilton with enough material to begin the writing of his second album. As the album came closer to being completed, Carm had realized he wanted more for the music and how it would be presented.

In order for the music to reach people how it was written and intended to sound, he realized he needed to put together a full band. The days of the acoustic soloist were over and the inception of a new rock band had arrived. Joined by Ryan Boyko on bass guitar and long time friend, Todd Hornby on drums “Live How You Live” was formed. The band name was taken from a lyric line in one of the songs off of the CD, aptly named “The Venice Sessions”. The songs are all based on real life experience and the music is a fresh, clean sound with overtones of funk and blues. It is reminiscent of comfort and is emotionally charged and delivered. The Band begins their Canadian tour in early February and will be accompanied by Tour Manager Joe Cacioppo on rhythm guitar. Produced by Carm Milioto with Ryan Boyko and Mike Clannon, “The Venice Sessions” is now available for all to experience.
