Biography

Living Sedative started life in late-2005, and were previously called "The Side Project". The name was changed in April 2006 in favour of "Living Sedative", which was a more unique name. Living Sedative released their debut album, "A Taste of Things to Come", in March 2006, with a B-Sides album called "A Second Taste: The B-Sides" released in 2007.

"The First Shot Always Hurts the Most", LS' second album, was released January 2008, with the subsequent B-Sides album "Outcasts" releaed a few months later.

Living Sedative aimed to release a further two albums in 2008: "Conversations That Changed the World", a rock album, and "Only One Word Springs to Mind", a dance album. However, both albums were quietly cancelled due to a lack of new ideas, and the project was put on hiatus.

In 2009, Living Sedative "re-formed" and announced a variety of new projects. Firstly, the two cancelled albums from 2008 were merged into one album, titled "The End of the Old". Secondly, an album of all-new material called "Starting Over" was also announced. Both albums are scheduled for release sometime in 2010.

Early December 2009 brought two more Living Sedative announcements, this time in support of the Sonic Relief 2010 campaign. "Songs for Sonic" will be LS' first remix album, featuring arrangements of popular Sonic tracks, including a 20-minute long medley of boss themes. This medley was split up into 6 tracks, and released on 12th December as "The Robotnik EP".
