Biography
Losers of the Year ® (LOTY) is an American rock band from the city of Victorville, California. Since its inception in 2003, the band has consisted of four brothers; Joshua (vocals, guitar), Jason (bass guitar, vocals), Justin (guitar, vocals) and Jeremy (drums, percussion, vocals) Barkdull.
Losers of the Year has entertained thousands with their highly energetic and unpredictable stage shows. Their reputation for encouraging audience participation at their shows often leads to fans being brought on stage to dance and play instruments with the band. Yet despite their easy going on stage persona's, Losers of the Year is best known in the industry for their professionalism and reliability off stage.
Having recorded 2 full length albums, LOTY's music has evolved tremendously from their pop-punk roots to the more mature and dynamic Rock style they exhibit today. The band is currently working on their third Full Length CD which will feature more than 21 new songs and is due for release in 2011.
Fun Facts:
- The bands first performance was on October 31st 2003 (Halloween) on a makeshift stage, outside of a local Haunted House in the rain.
- The band members built their own recording studio from the ground up in Apple Valley California.
- All of the bands original equipment was purchased at local pawn shops.
- In the past, on-line contests held by the band have resulted in the band members performing shows in women's dresses.
