Biography

Love American formed over the summer of 2010 in the high desert of southern California in what started out as a series of jam sessions between Adam Thomas (guitar), Hans Cruz (guitar) and Ryan Longmore (drums). They soon added Javier Ramirez (vocals) to the fold and spent the winter writing and recording their debut self-titled EP which was released in February of 2011. Six months and a rotating crew of bassists later they released a split EP with Ventura, California's Harbours. The split also marked the departure of vocalist Javier Ramirez who parted ways with the band shortly after its release. Love American rebounded by releasing a 3-way split with Texas' Bust and Ohio's Mother Grizzly in November of 2011 with guitarist Adam Thomas taking over the vocal duties for the band. Soon after bassist Stephen Johnson was added to the fold and the band set out to record their debut full-length record, "Disquiet", out June 5, 2012. Despite breaking up in late 2012, the band endeavored to release three split records in 2013 with Statuette, Eager Sea and Au Revoir before officially becoming inactive. They also completed a tour of the US across June of 2013.

All their releases can be found at www.loveamerican.bandcamp.com as donation based downloads.
