Love Like Birds is Belgian singer-songwriter Elke De Mey (born in Zottegem, Oost-Vlaanderen, Flanders, on 20 August 1987) currently based in Ghent, Belgium.

She began her career by posting songs on myspace, through which she came into contact with other musicians. Her debut release was the 2010 eponymous self-released EP. The album was produced by De Mey's then-friend Jinte Deprez (singer and guitarist for Balthazar) and Gertjan Van Hellemont (Douglas Firs, The Bony King of Nowhere) .

In 2012 she won the VI.be on Air weekly trophy at Studio Brussel. For Record Store Day 2012 , she split a 10-inch with Oscar and the Wolf .

"To Elke, the intimate bond with the listener is very important. She writes beautiful, fragile songs that linger between musical naivety and emotional intensity."
