Recorded between 1998 a year after the release of their sophomore album Kill the Lights; The Going Away Present was released on April 27th, 1999. As Lowercase's third and final album before disbanding a year later. The Going Away Present would be released under the label, "Punk in My Vitamins". Which is most notably owned by Vern Rumsey from the band Unwound.
