Lubriphonic is from Chicago. They incorporate elements of funk, hard soul, and rock into a live show that leaves audiences breathless. With a starring cast of six musicians (including a horn section), Lubriphonic will be touring throughout the Midwest and West this summer, including two slots at the High Sierra Music Festival. They have recently opened for acts as diverse as P-Funk, Derek Trucks, George Clinton, Maceo Parker & The Greyboy Allstars. "Soul Solution" is the title track from Lubriphonic's newest release.
Lubriphonic is the brainchild of guitarist Giles Corey and drummer Rick King. Lube began with residencies at Chicago's legendary Checkerboard Lounge & Aliveone. Lubriphonic is comprised of some of the finest funk, blues & rock musicians in Chicago. They have individually recorded and performed with Lenny Kravitz, Buddy Guy, The Ohio Players, Liquid Soul, Ramsey Lewis, Otis Rush, Koko Taylor and other artists.
