Biography
There are at least four artists named Luci;
1) Luci is a project for long time collaborators Guillaume Coutu Dumont and David Fafard.
2) Luci is a singer/songwriter living in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
Drawing on her Peruvian roots, Pop singer/songwriter Luci offers a pop-driven sound that is infused with Latin, R&B and funk. From her childhood years, music was an integral part of Luci’s life. Born in Lima, Peru, Luci lived in the U.S. from a very young age and grew up in various southern states. She draws her unique style from a sea of influences varying from Celia Cruz and Christina Aguilera, to Aerosmith and Stevie Wonder.
While at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK, Luci studied Music Tech as a minor and began playing guitar and recording her songs, and had her first co- writing experiences. As she has grown both personally and as a songwriter, Luci feels her music has grown along with her, sharing the character and life experiences gained along the way.
“My goal is to present music you can relate to, dance to and create some memorable moments to, and my vision is to inspire strength and hope in others,” Luci said. “I work tirelessly to put on the best performance, which is what I feel my fans deserve. I know this is what I'm made to do and I absolutely intend to make a career out of it."
In early 2007, Luci took a season off from pursuing music to focus on her growing family. She recently stepped back into the music scene with a renewed vigor for her work. She currently lives in Nashville, TN. Working with award-winning producer Kene Bell, her debut EP, "Live It Up,” was released in May 2010. Luci continues to write new music and embraces the opportunity to collaborate with other talented songwriters in the Nashville area. She remains ambitious as she hones in on her passion for producing, dancing, and dressmaking for her shows, and plans to produce and release a full album by the end of summer 2011.

3) Luci is the new alias of former Dubstep/Bass music producer, vocalist and singer-songwriter, Lucii, for her new branding as an Electropop/Dance Pop producer and singer-songwriter instead. Under her old alias she has worked with the likes of Dion Timmer, Sam Lamar, Champagne Drip, Kaivon and more. She has been recognised as a staple in underground electronic music, both as a producer and as a vocalist. She has released on labels like WAKAAN & Subsidia, and her name has been on several festival lineups in the past.
4) Charlotte-born-and-raised artist LUCI has always sought music as a refuge. On her releases she showcases a blend of R&B, Hip-Hop, trip-hop, and whatever else she has the whim to explore. After graduating from Charlotte’s Northwest School of The Arts in 2014, LUCI moved to nearby Asheville and immersed herself in the local music scene. She made her way to upstate New York in 2019, where she learned how to produce on Ableton music production software and filled multiple notebooks with songs. Some of those ended up on 2022’s Juvenilia, including her formal debut “Ash & Dust” single, which music outlet Consequence called “a wildly original statement that points towards the future of hip-hop".
`They Say They Love You`, released in 2024, explores themes of love, loneliness, perseverance amid uncertainty, self-care, and coming of age. She says she wants They Say They Love You, like all of her music, to “touch all the senses. My inspiration comes from the fact that great art exists in the world. And if I can touch people, move people, and it makes people want to do things for the better. I want to be the example of doing what you love, and being relentless about it.”
