Biography

Ludique consists of two roommates from Groningen, the Netherlands, where they both attend college. Luuc Oosterveld and Dick de Bie started a collaboration in early 2009. At that time they were both playing in a post-rock band called 'PinkChampagne' and were individually producing electronic music. When the band stopped, they decided to carry on their collaboration and turn their love for post-rock and the likes into electronic music.

They were influenced by rock bands such as Radiohead and Kashmir, but also by techno producers like Trentemoller and Extrawelt, although it is worth noting that their particular brand of offbeat, intricate IDM has bizarrely little in common with their roots in rock music. Ludique produce their music using FL Studio, Ableton Live, their sample library and software synthesizers.

They have released their first album entitled 'ludique' on 01/01/2011.
Their second album, Frostbite, was released in September 2012.
They have also released the singles "On the 9th day" and "Palme".

A third album is in the works and I am, like, dying of anticipation. Check out Luuc and Dick's Soundcloud pages or the band's Facebook page or Youtube channel for several works-in-progress.
