P.O.W.A is a song M.I.A. recorded after the release of her “final album” AIM. Even though the singer previously announced she was thinking about stepping back from the spotlight for a while and didn’t want to release albums anymore, she announced she was still working on new music and previewed snippets of unreleased songs during a Periscope session in January. She also posted a teaser of a new music video on Instagram shortly after.
"P.O.W.A" was about be released at January 6th, 2017. But, after problems with her record, M.I.A. decided to put the song online some days later.
