Biography

Marlon Williams, Jr. (born May 22nd 1993) Raised in Flushing, Queens, New York. M.Will was exposed to music since the earliest days of his youth. Legendary DJ and Music producer Marley Marl is his father. Showing a passion for music, Marlon auditioned for the Special Music School of America, in New York City. Although M.Will wasn't to fond of Classical music by his 5th grade year at SMSA, he continued to create and compose music. As he grew older, he gained a particular interest in hip-hop and electronic music. M.Will was known as a "young producer" and would add melodies and sounds to songs his father produced, including songs on KRS-ONE's "Hip-Hop Lives" and LL Cool J's "Exit 13." He released "A Journey through Space and Time" which is a mixtape/compilation album produced by M.Will and features Termanology, El Prez, NERO and many other talents. M.Will has also collaborated and worked with artists QuESt, Rich Hil, Threatz, the TreeHouseClub and his cousin, Ryan Perfect.

M.Will's signature sound is unlike anything in the industry today and is unclassifiable. His nostalgic melodies and musical touch to each of his productions capture the soul of the listener. His music is related to the likes of one of his musical inspirations J.Dilla yet maintains the old school flavor of the golden age of hip-hop, while still sounding like the future of music. He involves very daring samples from artists such as Télépopmusik, Zero 7, Goo Goo Dolls, Coldplay, Dexter Wansel, which is really abstract to the sound of hip-hop today. M.Will also supports use of piano is his songs, and encourages other producers to "Play instruments!" M.Will lists producers Pete Rock, J.Dilla , Pharrell, Kanye West, Nicolay, Ryan Leslie, Stevie Wonder and Quincy Jones as his musical inspirations.
