Honestly I actually enjoy both versions, as they offer their own vibe and atmosphere. The original mix with Lee Ving feels like going into a biker bar while the remix with Mustaine's vocals makes it feel like MegaDave's attempt to do his own Halford's Fight-esque "street metal" style album.

Truly sad that the remastered album had to have Dave Mustaine's vocals... it wasn't meant to have Mustaine on vocals. It's perfect with Lee Ving.

This is really good. I think the people who dislike MD.45 never came across the original release, which is lightyears ahead of the crap that ir the remastered version. On the original release everything is on point and makes sense together: Lee's vocals and harmonica, the riffs and the solos. Try and find the original release and give it a try, it's a lost gem...

As a big Meg & Dave fan, i found it a bit, weird. The sound is definitely not like Megadeth, and some songs are not that good. Anyways, have to admit that "Hell's Motel and No Pain" is great.

The tapes were lost (so Ving's vocals couldn't be remastered) and Dave was encouraged to try it with his vocals. It's in the liner notes.

8 years too late but if you're still wondering, Dave wanted more people to listen to the album and thought that if he did vocals on the remaster that more people would listen to it.
