Mad Staring Eyes are a 4 piece from North London.

After releasing their self titled debut album in 2006, they won the John Peel 'Best New Band' competition and played Glastonbury Festival.

They have since toured in the USA, Canada, Russia and Germany and played gigs with everyone from The Subways to Pete Doherty.

Their second album, 'Bored Of Looking Cool', recorded at Ray Davies' (The Kinks) Konk Studio in North London, was released in 2008 on their own label, Retina Records.

In 2009 Mad Staring Eyes won the Toronto Independent Music Award for 'Best International Act' and were invited to New York to play the prestigious CMJ Music Marathon.

Signed to publisher Commercial Arts, the band's music is regularly played on MTV and they have had their music featured on TV shows such as 'Skins' and 'Gossip Girl.'

'Walking In The Streets' their last single, has had over 100,000 hits on YouTube….

In 2010 they began work on a semi-acoustic album involving pedal steel guitar, cello, pianos and cajon.

'Crooked Wood' will be released in March.
