Icelandic people have a very specific inflection and rhythm to their speaking and singing voices. Its not that surprising that two Icelandic singers have a similar cadence. It's not really limited to Bjork and Kata, others like Milkywhale and JFDR have a similar thing going on. It's not really ripping off a style so much as it is simply being a female Icelandic singer.

I cannot tell if Bjork is actually singing on some of these tracks or if the chick's just biting her style.

To admit honestly, I didn't like musical creativity of this group. They have too chaotic execution. Listeners would like reasonable dynamics more.

Búinn að hlusta á Karkara núna 7 sinnum á 2 dögum....ég bara á ekki til eitt aukatekið orð hvað þessi plata er ógeðslega góð!/ Already listened to Karkari 7 times in the last 2 days...I just can't get over the fact how awesome this album is!

They were really great at the Sonic Ballroom in Cologne, despite their collective hangover (or so they claimed). Very relaxed and refreshingly open-minded attitude on stage -- need more bands like them.

This band is a juggernaut, I can't stop listening to Rauðilækur. The album is brilliant... please Iceland Airwaves happen this year and please Mammút privilege us with a set.
