That album was huge in the day, but somehow completely forgotten today. I think, they share that fate with bands like Aeternus or Hades. Boy, were those legendary and hyped - and then, sort of, disappeared from the face of the earth, or so it seems. Those bands don't get enouch credit for how they influenced the whole scene.

It's almost 2am and I can't go to bed because I was struck by their new album and now I just have to hear the whole record. Wonderful music, this is unique. *-*

Manes always were (and still are) one of the most unique, open-minded and forward-looking bands for me - and in the list of my all-time favorite bands - their "Vilosophe" totally changed my vision and even feeling of this world on many levels, "How the World Came to an End" was another masterpiece - and... I can't explain how important their music was for me. Even their black metal debut "Under Ein Blodraud Maane" is a masterpiece in the BM-world. And when the broke up it was a sad news, but they started new project called kkoagulaa, and it was... another great experiment - and another piece of deep art - especially their demo/"skketches". And then they reunited in 2013 - I was so, so excited!.. But... it's really sad to say, but it seem that after the reunion Manes turned from the mysterious innovative band beyound all boundaries to just self-copied rock band - on "Be All End All" they re-recorded their demos/skketches (that was really good) - and it became... like empty and

colourless - and... weak - and it was a total pain - because I really wanted for this album. But anyway I still loved them for all of their work before the reunion - and I specially traveled to Romania to watch them live back in 2015 - it was one of my biggest dreams to watch them live. And it became one of the biggest and the most painful dissappointments in my life... Live... it's totally runied - and first of all on a spiritual level - they tried to rock so hard instead of re-creating their fantastic atmosphere of their studio works + they use 2 live guest vocalists (while their studio works feature other vocalists) - and unfortunutely these guys absolutely don't feel the music and words that they sing (and beyound that)... It's like watching someone doing (not so good) covers and singing karaoke of your favorite band... And on their other live performances it was the same (even with one vocalist)...

And... it was a real pain - how such a deep, spiritual, experimental band become... empty from the inside... Guys, I still love you for what you did - you totally changed my life - and I still hope that on your new album your album you'll become "live" in terms of inner soul of music... Love you - and still waiting...

"Slow Motion Death Sequence" went better than I expected - and it's really good. Unfortunately still not so deep and great like "Vilosophe" and "How The World Came To An End" but still good album - but maybe it'll grow on me more later - it's almost return to form for Manes - and I'm really glad because as I said they're my all-time favorite band. So thank you - and please stay true to yourself.

The thing with Be All was that it took something ridiculous like 5 years and it was mostly created from bits and pieces here and there. 4 different producers were also involved, etc. It was a bit of a weird album in the making.

I had not heard the preview songs before, so for me it was a brand new album. Typically for Manes it was a grower, and at 4th listen I am totally into it. Great band! Loved the Manii album last year as well, they have not lost their original style as well.

Nice "new" album. I mean... I enjoy it and all but would have even more if some of the songs hadn't been released before, either in this state or as sketches. Felt like I already knew this album.
