MARAUDA, real name Hamish Prasad, (formerly known as Elephant Man, MASTADON and later MASTA-DON) is a dubstep and bass music producer based in Sydney, Australia. He has released music on Never Say Die Records, Disciple Records, Bassrush Records, Slugz Music, Busted Records and also releases on his own label Malignant Music.
Prasad made the name change in 2019 presumably to avoid confusion between his artist project and an Atlanta-based metal band of the same name called Mastodon. The name was challenged in court by the band. 2017 saw Prasad's debut release under the Mastadon alias in the form of the Malignant EP by way of the Never Say Die imprint. For comparison, the metal band of his project's namesake formed in the year 2000.
