Biography
Marie Chante Quelle Elle Telephone was formed in 2008. In 2010 they released the first album 'Self-Titled' which was received warmly.
"Intrigue, anger, catharsis, tragedy, melodrama, farce, circus Chapiteau and you - everything mentioned above is in the first studio album 'Self-Titled'" - was announced in the presentation of the album.
Their music can be described as a combination of melodic post-rock and hard emotional screamo. Lyrics resemble postmodern literature with its fragmentation, paradox, casuistry, play with text and listeners.
In 2011 Marie Chante Quelle Elle Telephone recorded the second album «и радости твоей хотел бы» («and i'd wish some joy for you»).
Members of the group have changed several times. At the moment the current members of Marie Chante are: Sasha Pushkin – guitar / vocals, Zhenya Shim – bass, Leonid Basharkevich – drums.
Considering the last update of the band's body they changed the name of the group as well. Now the name of the band is simply "MARIE CHANTE".
In 2013 Marie Chante released the third album «сделай меня отцом» («make me a father») with new sound.
