"Man's World" is a critique of the patriarchal society we live in today and the injustices that women face. The lyrics express the pain of feeling "burnt at the stake" by male-dominated institutions and the frustration of being held to higher standards due to being a woman. It also celebrates strong female figures such as Marilyn Monroe, who is referred to as "legend" in the song. The song ultimately calls for a reckoning in which men come to understand that the world they live in is not the same as the one women live in, and that they should stop punishing women for not fitting into societal standards of "manhood".
