Marriages was a trio made up of Emma Ruth Rundle (vocals), Greg Burns (bass) and Andrew Clinco (drums). Rundle and Burns were formerly of post-rock quintet Red Sparowes. Clinco is now best known for helming the project Drab Majesty. The band has been inactive since 2015.

Original drummer Dave Clifford was also part of Red Sparrowes. Though both acts are signed to Sargent House—and though Clifford has played with Rundle as part of the Nocturnes—these musicians have found, in the face of their own proximity, a degree of fresh sound together.

The trio formed in late 2011, quickly recording their debut with engineer Toshi Kasai (Melvins, Big Business, Tool) in December. The resulting effort, Kitsune was released on LP, CD and Download via Sargent House on May 1st, 2012. Their second release, Salome is expected for April 2015, its debut single, Skin was released in January 2015.
