"Halah" is about longing for someone after they have left. The narrator reflects on the end of their relationship and is looking for closure, asking the other person to "change mind". It conveys a sense of regret and sadness but also a hope that the two will be able to reconcile before it's too late. This is further reinforced by the lyrics and repeating chorus, "Surely don't stay long I'm missing you now/It's like I told you I'm over you somehow/Before I close the door I/Need to hear you say goodbye/Baby won't you change your mind?". The song is about wanting the other person to come back, even if it's too late and it's clear that the relationship is over.
