I know I never got to properly meat you but I miss you so damn much. I bought Bat Out of Hell on vinyl last Saturday but I can't play it because I don't have a stylus on my jukebox. I tried to track a needle on the grooves, hoping that I might even hear an echo of you timeless voice. But it didn't work and my record is now scratched. Next Friday I will have a nocturnal vigil where I play your timeless music all night in your eternal memory (not Blind Before I Stop though, that record is dreadful) . Rest in Peace Mr. Loaf.

There would be so much to say. These songs played a major role for me becoming a man. There is always such a longing for something in these songs, a never ending search, such a strong will to run to hell and back. Fighting, never giving up. This energy I get from these songs and this incredible voice gave me faith in life, when I was struggling, gave me the will to go on, and go on lucky and dancing. It's incredible what songs, music can do. This pure energy, like a force of nature. Now, as a man, I don't hear these songs as often, as I did as a teenager, but it is still confident to know, they are still there. And so, in my ears and in my heart, You and Jim never die, and I am so glad to always come back to you. And You both teached me a hell of a lot about ROCK'N'ROLL....

Just popping in to pay my condolences. I don’t listen to much in this spectrum of rock, but I have fond memories of growing up with my dad’s Bat Out of Hell (II) CDs, and admiring the fantasy-fueled art of their booklets while listening to them. I think it really inspired my love for music and physical media, today; something I especially cherish in a world of streaming and all its conveniences. Rest In Peace, big guy. 🦇🏍

As a kid in the 70's I heard of him but I was under the mistaken impression that he was one of those heavy metal bands. I thought almost everyone was in a metal band that decade... Floyd, Stones, etc. Thank goodness I learned what a magnificent singer he was when I grew up. I was shocked to hear that he's gone. Alas there will be many more such as time flows on. The music lives on though.

In my mind, he will always be the guy described in his song "Alive". You know, like the "runaway train", "last man standing and "still alive". At least in his music, he will stay all these things. Thank you, Marvin.
