...always must think about "the letter 'A'" scene in fg. ^^ but in the 90s it was my entry into metallica.

I just came to say what most people already said. This one feels definitely like the best out of the trilogy. Production-wise it sounds way better than the other two, the guitar chords seem a bit more somber in nature, but still comforting. James' voice is one of the best aspects of the song, I wholeheartedly agree with what someone said down below, that he really grew as a singer over the years, especially since the 90s. Absolutely love this song!

Has the problem of most sequels, lacking a bit of the character and spark of the first. Sort of like Back to the Future.

James' performance on this song is surprisingly good vocally. Love or hate their progression through the 90s, James really did grow as a singer during that time compared to their earliest releases.

This is honestly the best out of the trilogy, at least for me. The lyrics have a great meaning, nice guitars, and drums. The voice is also in a light tone so it has a weird feeling in a rock band, but it's in a good kind of weird. I'm not saying anything bad about the bands other songs, but this just feels different, and it works just as well.
