    12 tracks

Released May 5, 2012. While many fans are immediately struck by the relevance of the evocative lyrics, they are ultimately won over by the Michael Wood Band’s attention to all the other elements that make for great rock music; the live show is pure energy, with smoking guitar leads, melodic rhythms, and a seriously infectious groove. From Vancouver Island, the four-piece features Michael Wood (vocals/guitar), Jon Baergen (bass/vocals), Josh Weed (guitar/vocals), and Alex Campbell (drums/vocals). Written while still in high school, their songs reflect diverse topics, from the Arab Spring (Should We Be Afraid) to the Occupy movement (End of the World) to putting off worries about the future (I Think I'll Just Go to Bed), and are receiving radio play nationwide. They were recently voted New Artist of the Month on CKXS FM, and the video for "End of the World" has received international attention, going viral with over 38 thousand views in its first month. Their full length CD "Occupy This"(The Barn Recording Studio: Randy Bachman, Buffy Sainte-Marie) continues to climb the charts proving that the MWB are as dedicated to writing and recording great songs as they are to playing an incredible live show.
