Story Behind the Song…
While gazing at the beautiful landscape of the Ozark Mountains and strumming my guitar, this song came out, as if the Mother Earth herself wrote the lyrics and music. It was written and complete in 5 minutes. The promise we have for our lives, and the promises we make in our lives.. sometimes we forget.. we get distracted, but the promise is still there. In this busy rat race of a world we have made for ourselves.. the promise awaits us for fulfillment. The first Promise? Could it be… We are all guests of the Mother Earth.. our promise is to be a good guest of Mother Earth.. to give as freely as we are given, and appriciate the beauty and bounty of this experience. ~Michelle Mays
