The songs Darkness Descends, Born of the Night, Solemn Reflections, Nightstalker, Haunted Nursery, Maque of Sorrow, Forbidden Crypts, and Shadows were re-recorded and released on the Midnight Syndicate compilation CD Out of the Darkness.
The "Dark Tower" storyline for this album was created by its producer Joseph Vargo, who was at the time writing his book Tales From The Dark Tower which details the story of a vampire who haunts an accursed castle. In 2011, performing as Nox Arcana, Vargo released The Dark Tower soundtrack, which contains some track titles from the Born of the Night album (Something Wicked, Vampire's Kiss, The Dark Tower, Born of the Night, Masque of Sorrow) yet features all original music and recordings.
