you must be a lil younger than me. I grew up a huge Blink-182 fan (obviously) and Mark & Tom had a clothing company dubbed Atticus and they would put out these compilation albums with up and coming bands and on the first release they included midtown’s song “Find Comfort In Yourself” (Which is still my favorite song to this day) I went out and bought all of their CDs that they had out at the time and became a lifelong fan in the process.

Although I know Midtown for a quiet some time now (since their apperance in the Spider-Man 2 Sountrack in 2004, with the song "Give It Up") I only recently took time to listen to their full albums. And wow! Their record "Forget What You Know" is absolutly stunning. The record I listened the most last year. It's a pity it took me so much time to discover this record. However, their previous releases aren't really my type and don't stand out the same way FWYW does for me. Yesterday they got active in social media, maybe some news coming?

this band was so phenomenal. like... SO many pop punk bands are so lazy; they stick to the formulas, keep the instruments minimal and keep the main focus of the song on the whiny vocals. but not with this band. the guitar, the drums, the layered vocals, — they’re all so intricate!

agreed. even when i played them in middle school, i knew they were so special and stood out against the other pop punk bands at the time. they still hold up too. forget what you know is a masterpiece of an album

my memory of how good this band was is >> than how good they actually were. still, save the world is an iconic album. no place feels like home!
