Biography
Miquell Santos was recently named one of the most promising of the upcoming DJ’s and producers in Belgium.
Together with his friends, Miquell Santos began to play at small parties in and around Limburg, Belgium. He very soon was hooked to playing music and he thus moved on to casually playing at bigger parties, events and clubs in Belgium. After finishing first in the biggest DJ competition in Hasselt, he became an infamous guest- and resident-DJ in bigger venues and concepts.
Using his laptop-studio he has learned and perfected his skills for creating tracks as well. In 2007, he released his first EP in collaboration with Massimo Giradi: minimal pressure. After that, He made a great remix of Rooz – Jamboo 2008, which became a big hit in the European club scene. Miquell Santos has been remixing ever since. He has done some incredible work for Chab, Pole Folder, Steve Slight, Natural Born DeeJays, Dominico, Sweet Coffee, Steven Libby, and many others.
Following this course of events, his new habit evolved further, leading him to play at some of the biggest venues in the BeNeLux including, but not limited to: Cafe d’Anvers, Fuse, Noxx, La Rocca, Playfest (muziekodroom), Café Capital, Cityparade (Liège), Bozzini (NL). Miquell Santos is currently producing and remixing for labels like Audiotherapy (UK), Dark Kitchen Records (BE), Maison Digitale (BE), and Kompressor Records (NL).
